WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Four Winston-Salem State University alumni and their spouses donated $12,000 to the WSSU Department of Athletics this morning at the WSSU Bowman Gray Fieldhouse to fund a technology upgrade initiative that will be used to purchase flat-panel monitors for coaches' offices within the Bowman Gray Field House as the Department of Athletics seeks to enhance the recruiting and scouting needs for WSSU head coaches and their coaching staffs.

Eugene and Wilma Weeks `64 and John `67 and Edna Sigers `93 each donated $5,500 for the technology upgrade while William and Juanita Bowman Tatum `64 donated $1,000 for the initiative.

The Bowman Gray Field House is a 20,992 square foot athletic field house that houses all of WSSU's football coaching staff, athletic administrators and Sports Medicine staff members as well as a pair of athletic skyboxes and over 4,000 square feet of meeting space. It was completed in November of 2007 with a total cost of over $5.1 million.
The fieldhouse was designed by Carlos Espinosa of Thoma H. Hughes Architecture, P.C. and was built by Triad Builders of King,
