Personal:Albert Lewis Roseboro is honored for meritorious service to the athletic program at Winston-Salem State University. He began his career as a member of the Ram football team. He was a four-year starter and a team captain. He was also a member of the tennis team and was selected as team co-captain. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical Education in 1965. He received a Masters Degree from North Carolina A & T State University. He has served as head coach of the men's golf, men's tennis, and women's volleyball teams. He was also an assistant football coach. He was the university's athletic director from 1991 to 1997 and has the distinction of being the only alumnus to serve in this capacity. He was known as an outstanding recruiter during his tenure in the athletic department. He retired from service to the University in 2005.
