Personal: John Moseley joined the Winston-Salem State coaching staff in the spring of 2007 where his knowledge of the game and experience make him a valued addition to the Ram family.
Moseley comes to Winston-Salem State following a successful tenure at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where he was a part of a coaching staff that guided the Raiders to the 2006 Horizon League regular season and tournament championship and the team's first trip to the NCAA tournament since 1993. Prior to heading to Wright State, Moseley spent two years as an assistant coach at the University of Delaware. His career in collegiate basketball began when he served as an administrative assistant at East Carolina from 1997 to 1999.
An accomplished coach at the high school level, Moseley has also had a number of successful stops. He began his high school coaching career in his home town of Warrenton, North Carolina where he led his alma mater Warren County High School to the 2005 Class 2A State Championship game in his first season with the Eagles. Moseley averaged 20 wins per season as the head coach of his alma mater.
He was named head coach at Roanoke High School in Robersonville, North Carolina where he led the team to the Eastern Regional Final. He then returned to East Carolina to serve as the Academic Development Coordinator from 2000-01 before heading to Delaware.
A 1998 graduate of East Carolina University, Moseley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport, as well as an M.A. Ed. in Athletic Administration in 1999. He and his wife Crystal reside in Winston-Salem, NC.
