WINSTON-SALEM, NC - WSSU freshman infielder Bonika Terry (Ramseur, NC) and freshman forward Paul Davis (Clio, SC) have been selected as the WSSU Crown Trophy Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 25, 2008 for their impressive athletic performances over the past seven days as announced by the Winston-Salem State University Department of Athletics.

Terry, a 5'6" infielder from Ramseur, NC helped to lead the Lady Rams to a perfect 4-0 record on the week as she batted .364 for WSSU with four hits in 11 at-bats with six runs batted in.  She also hit a pair of home runs for the Lady Rams and turned in four stellar games in the field as she recorded 10 put-outs and three assists.  For her efforts she has been named the Crown Trophy WSSU Female Student-Athlete of the Week.

Davis, a 6'9" freshman forward from Clio, SC helped to lead the Rams to a pair of victories over North Carolina A&T State University and Norfolk State University as he averaged 12.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game on the week.  Davis scored 25 total points and pulled down 19 rebounds in the Rams two wins.  Davis' most impressive performance came in WSSU's win over Norfolk State where he scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.  For his efforts he has been named the Crown Trophy WSSU Male Student-Athlete of the Week.
