ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The Winston-Salem State University men's golf team earned a seventh-place finish at the 2008 South Carolina State University Bulldog Golf Classic on Sunday afternoon as they posted a team total of 326 in a rain-shortened event that saw Saturday's first-round suspended due to inclement weather.
The Rams were led by Joshua Sherrell who finished 18th with a team-leading round of 76 (39-37). Sherell was the only WSSU team member to earn a top-20 finish as he helped the Rams to a team aggregate total of 326 en route to the seventh-place team finish as he closed out the competition with a round of four over par.
In addition to capturing individual medalist honors, and placing two golfers in the top three spots, the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman earned the team title as they finished with a team total of 289, three strokes ahead of
