WSSU Golfers Finish Tiger Invitational In 10th Place Overall

SAVANNAH, GA - The Winston-Salem State Rams golf team closed out competition from the Third Annual Tiger Invitational hosted by Savannah State University on Tuesday afternoon with a tenth place finish with a team total of 712 following a 354 in final day action.

 

Three WSSU golfers shot in the 90's as Steven Mason fired a 92, Shelton Davis shot a 91, and Zachary Yelder turned in a round of 93.  All three Rams were led by Jerrell Fields who recorded a team-best round of 78 en route to the 354.

 

The team's aggregate total of 712 earned the Rams a 10th place finish in the event as WSSU closed out the fall half of their 2007-08 schedule.

 

The Rams return to action on February 22, 2008 at the Bethune-Cookman University Wildcat Spring Invitational Golf Tournament.
