CONWAY, SC - The Winston-Salem State Rams track & field team continued their strong start to the outdoor season when the team posted a number of top finishes on day two of the Coastal Carolina Invitational. It was the WSSU sprinters who took center stage at the meet with a host of great finishes and times.
The Winston-Salem State 4x400m relay team had the best finish of the day as the squad placed second in the event in a time of 3:17.34. The team left teams from East Carolina,
WSSU senior sprinter Gerrod Sidbury had the best individual finish of the day, placing third in the men's 400m dash in a time of 48.49. Rams freshman Cornell Jones also had a great effort placing 19th in the men's 800m run in a time of 2:00.64.
The Rams will return to action this weekend when the squad takes part in the 2008 Wake Forest Open at Kentner Stadium on the campus of
