Lady Rams Fall to Reigning MEAC Champs Florida A&M, 3-0

Final Stats

TALLAHASSEE, FL - The second match of a two-match road trip was a tough one for the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (4-22), who suffered a 3-0 loss to the Florida A&M Lady Rattlers (11-5, 6-0 MEAC). The team struggled to three straight losses, 15-30, 9-30, and 13-30. The two-match road trip saw the Lady Rams take on the two top teams in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division standings.

 

The team struggled in the match with a .000 team hitting percentage in the match. The squad was also hampered by 11 receiving errors. Sophomore Annika Barnwell led the way for the team with seven kills in the match. Junior blocker Brandie Beane added six kills. Sophomore blocker Georgette Allen added a pair of blocks (one solo).

 

The Lady Rams will have a break in the action as they will face the High Point Panthers in a road match on next Tuesday evening.
